user reviews

How about a section for user reviews where people make their own comments on games they've played from simple I liked this game because... xx% to full blown reviews with in depth comments.

the idea sounds good and fun and all, but how would this actually work. someone makes a review of a game and posts it in a section that would then have been made for it? then there still be the difference in opinions about a game.

the idea sounds fun now, but i think this needs to be thought true some more. if you can come up with a good way of doing this, and bring the idea on how to do it then here, we can see what we can do.

It would be metacritic style namely an average score for the game would be created from the user reviews ways it would work would either be people PM me the name of the game and console then I create the thread and thus the average will be in the OP or I will PM them the average when I work it out and then they put that in the OP.

right now it came in my mind, maybe if we had a game section or a section just for game reviews, one could make a topic there about a game (looking at all platforms the game is released for) and give a review about it and give it a score (rating from 0 to 100).
the review will probably be followed be reviews from other people on this forum and discussions about that game. with that, a score can always change. what can also be done is that every person who gives a review after one has been given to that game, that that persons score for the game is also shown separately from your own score and the average score (the one combined from all given scores).

now i mainly want to know what others think of this idea.

So, how should we go about this?

We have quite a few options.

1) I create a new area for the reviews and several different sections underneath it (example: Roleplaying Area has Host/Join, Roleplaying Section and RP Discussion/OOC Lounge)

2) I add a new section on to Anime/Manga/Games where they all get put.

3) I add a new sectiong to Anime/Manga/Games, complete with sub-forums.

Option one seems to be the better choice I think.

I think it'd be better to put it under Anime/Manga/Games/TV.
create a new topic there called "game reviews" or something like that

But it won't just be game reviews.

It'll also be anime reviews, game reviews, film/movie reviews, TV show reviews (I plan to do one for X-Fire, for example) and manga reviews, as well as maybe novels and Western cartoons.

maybe a new "Review"area would be in order.

and create subs like;
Games;
anime
TV shows, etc

Yeah, that's one of my suggestions, the one me and Chaos think is best :3

not having looked on other places on the forum yet, i think the first game ramon would review is The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
